The finely ground plant powder is mixed with tempered water to a naturally creamy paste. This potent color cream is then applied to freshly washed hair. United StatesI have some grays and I had colored my hair for the past year with herbatint system which had peroxide. At the time of using khadi last week, I had about an inch or more of roots growth with grays. The color mixing and application was easy. The grays got covered and the overall color looks as it was described. The smell is herbal and not offensive. I had used the amla volume shampoo couple of times. And before coloring I used detox mask; Also not a hard process. So far I am happy with the results. At the moment I have the color care oil on my hair and will wash it tomorrow! I probably need to get the conditioner since my hair was not as soft after washing with the amla shampoo last couple of times. It was manageable after it was dried. I do recommend this system since it has nothing but plant products. Henna has been used in eastern part of the world for many centuries, so I am happy that khadi with more elaborate colors exist and glad that I came across of it via Google search. Since original henna used to be only fire red. Lol.

United StatesIt works very well, even to cover grey hair. My hair is so much healthier than with chemical dye... More volume, less hair loss and a beautiful color. It's a little more complicated to use than other dyes and a little more messy but no chemical smell. It is in the end cheaper than other dyes because you can use part of the bag for roots (I use a third). It might fade a little faster than other dyes. I'm not picky about the perfect shades but if you are, it might not be a good choice as the results are a little unpredictable. But overall, I don't see any reasons now to go back to chemical dye!

One benefit of coloring with khadi is the more you color your hair with khadi, the healthier it will be, as every time, it adds a protective layer to the hair's cuticle! For fading color, make sure to use our Color Care Hair Oil 24-48 hours after coloring your hair, as it will help set the color, and then from that point forward, use the oil once a week to help preserve your plant-based dye. United StatesI used the Khadi Light Brown hair color and it covered my hair quite evenly. My hair color has more red to it than light brown. I can see light brown on inside layers of my hair. My roots that were gray look like more light brown. My hair texture feels very soft.

United StatesI used Khadi and was exceptionally nice. It covered well and color lasted vibrantly about 4 weeks washing 3 times per week. It was (nicely) bright for about 3 washings but then toned down perfectly. I definitely recommend!

United StatesI tried Khadi light brown. For me about once a month I touch up my highlights. It was very consistent with the color and it did not try out my hair so I was satisfied with the color. It was a little darker than I would like in the photo showed but overall I had a good result

If you ever feel that any of our shades are a tad too dark, try mixing in some Senna/Cassia in your mixture to dilute and make the Light Brown shade more transparent.
