The finely ground plant powder is mixed with warm water to create a naturally creamy paste. This potent color cream is then applied to freshly washed hair. After allowing the hair dye to soak in, the color cream is washed out with water only. The color result is immediately visible, but intensifies over the next 24 to 48 hours.

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your coloring experience with khadi! We always love hearing about how it went. Here's a tip- Heat water in a microwave-safe bowl for one minute and check the water temperature with a candy thermometer. If you need the water warmer, pop the bowl back in for another 30 seconds, then use the thermometer to measure. If the water is too hot, let it sit out and cool down for a bit and then check again for the temperature of the water. United StatesOnce mixed and prepared, the application process was extremely easy. Yes, it smells a bit, but not any worse than the chemicals the salon used to put on my hair during the coloring process. The final color is rich and the grey coverage is excellent! This is my new favorite natural hair coloring option and I have tried several. Overall, the best results of any of the natural products I have used and the ingredients seem very straight forward. I have used it twice already and am ready to do my third application. Results last me about 3-4 weeks. I never experienced the grey/green color that others had prior to washing.

United StatesI’ve been looking for a simple, one-step henna hair color to cover my emerging greys and went for Khadi. I’ve never colored my hair before but found it fairly easy and sort of fun! My natural color is dark brown with auburn highlights and I really didn’t want my natural color to change, just wanted the greys to blend in. Hazel is perfect!! I’m thrilled that I nailed the color on the first try. My greys are now a lighter slightly more golden brown but are close enough, and none of the natural red was altered. I couldn’t be more pleased!
