Are khadi products vegan?

Almost all our products are vegan and free from animal ingredients or by-products. We carefully craft them with the finest herbs, high-quality oils, and natural extracts.

Two of our Hair Color Shades – Hint of Gold and Medium Blond – contain Gall Apple (Quercus Infectoria Majuphal) in their formulas to ensure the unique color depth of these shades. Due to this fact, they unfortunately don't qualify as truly vegan anymore.

The Gall Apple is a woody growth found on the leaves of the Gall Oak. Its formation relies on the saliva of gall wasp larvae—a natural process similar to how honeycombs are created. Once the larvae have hatched, the Gall Apple is harvested and used in applications such as natural medicine.

Every batch of our products is rigorously tested for microbiology, heavy metals, and pesticides to ensure the highest quality and safety.
