Wash your hair thoroughly with a natural-certified shampoo, such as khadi Deep Cleanse Shampoo. Mix the henna powder with water heated to 175–195°F (80–90°C) until smooth and creamy. Let it cool to a comfortable temperature before applying it strand by strand with gloves. For root touch-ups, skip the lengths and ends.

Leave the color in for 60 to 120 minutes, depending on your desired depth. For touch-ups, leave it for 15–30 minutes. Afterward, rinse thoroughly with water, avoiding shampoo for 24–48 hours to let the color fully develop.
