◄How To UseApply khadi Hair Oil Color Care 24 hours after dyeing with khadi Natural Hair Color - before your first hair wash.
Simply put 2-3 pump strokes of khadi Color Care into your hand. Spread the oil in the palms of your hands and distribute them on dry hair. Concentrate on the dyed area as well as on the lengths and ends of the hair.
Alternatively, you can apply the oil with the khadi hair care brush - the natural bristles will distribute the oil evenly into your hair and scalp.
Now wrap your hair with a towel to keep it warm. Give the oil at least 30 to 60 minutes to soak in before washing your hair with a khadi shampoo.
For a more intense effect, it is best to leave it on overnight.
Apply the natural hair care twice a week. You can also use the hair oil as a leave-in in small doses.

United StatesThis was my first time using Khadi, I used the ash brown hair color. I have pretty fine long hair with gray on the top. The first time I used it, I left it on for one hour and my grays were less bright but still pretty visible. When I colored my hair again, I left it on for one hour and a half and it covered the grays much better. I did not have any green tint to my hair either time. Just color very similar to mine and I was pleasantly surprised. The smell is tough to get used to it first, but you get used to it. It’s like very strong green tea. It felt weird not to wash my hair or condition it after coloring, and my hair was a little harder to manage to style because of this, but overall it was fine. I used the hair oil as well, 48 hours after coloring, but I’m not sure if it did anything to help the color. I plan to use again and I’m happy this healthier less toxic option is out there.

I used the color primer then dark brown and it came out looking really natural. I might experiment with ash brown next to see the difference. My hair feels really soft and I also used the oil and I like it.

United StatesI have some grays and I had colored my hair for the past year with herbatint system which had peroxide. At the time of using khadi last week, I had about an inch or more of roots growth with grays. The color mixing and application was easy. The grays got covered and the overall color looks as it was described. The smell is herbal and not offensive. I had used the amla volume shampoo couple of times. And before coloring I used detox mask; Also not a hard process. So far I am happy with the results. At the moment I have the color care oil on my hair and will wash it tomorrow! I probably need to get the conditioner since my hair was not as soft after washing with the amla shampoo last couple of times. It was manageable after it was dried. I do recommend this system since it has nothing but plant products. Henna has been used in eastern part of the world for many centuries, so I am happy that khadi with more elaborate colors exist and glad that I came across of it via Google search. Since original henna used to be only fire red. Lol.
Hi there, We loved reading about your experience finding khadi and using our coloring system. We always recommend the 3 part coloring system when transitioning to khadi hair color as it prepares the hair for our plant-based color, which is quite different from coloring with traditional artificial hair color. If your hair feels a bit dry on wet towel dried hair, use our Coconut Shikakai Conditioner with a pump or two of our hair oils and let it sit in the hair for 60 minutes.
