If your Natural Hair Color doesn’t cover as expected, there could be a few reasons:
1. You might be using products (care, cleansing, styling) that contain film-forming agents. These agents can take time to fully wash out from the scalp, so the effect of reduced coverage may occur later. It’s important to use exclusively certified natural cosmetics—just “silicone-free” is not enough, as such products often still contain
a) harsh surfactants
b) alternative film-forming agents that soften the hair. Cleanse your hair before the next coloring with our Deep Cleanse Shampoo or Deep Charcoal Cleanse Mask.
2. The amount of gray in your hair has significantly increased. In this case,
a) You might want to switch to a darker shade or color your hair twice.
b) Double coloring with the same shade will produce an even richer result. Follow the ColorPrep recommendation for certain shades.

3. Your body is too acidic: The darker indigo tones in our Natural Hair Colors prefer an alkaline pH value. If your body is too acidic, these darker tones may not bind well, resulting in lighter, more reddish hair. Using our Neem Balance Shampoo for pre-cleansing can help.
