The finely ground plant powder is mixed with tempered water to a naturally creamy paste. This potent color cream is then applied to freshly washed hair. United StatesI was totally uncertain about this product working to change the white hair I have at age 58 back to the rest of hair which is dark brown. I did the color prep on the box and and then rinsed my hair and then towel dried it then put on the dark brown khadi color. I will say make sure that you only add enough water to keep the color cream nice and thick so it doesn't drip. I worked quickly over the bathtub and put the plastic cover on along with a cap of my own and an old towel around my neck. I watched t.v. for a couple hours and rinsed it again and towel dried my hair then blow dried the rest and went to bed. The next morning I put in a little of the color care oil and YES no more white hair!!! I don't know how long it will last because I'm only on day 2 of not washing my hair but my hair looks amazing. Took about 5 yrs off my age!

This hair color went on very different (smelled like wet grass), but I had no scalp irritations, I did not lose extra hair, and the color is beautiful. I will purchase this again!

United StatesThe color comes out well and this is my favorite henna product I have found... I don't give it a 5 star because it doest always cover the grey in the dark brown- sometimes it is more of a copper color. This occurs even when using the khadi color prep and shampoo before hand. I also have left it on longer with same results. So, it does the job to disguise the grey, but not totally cover. Overall, I like it though since it is mostly plant based and gentle. My other complaint is it makes my hair dry and hard to brush for the first few days after use. They say not to condition for the first few days so it is hard to make your hair soft and manageable in those days.

United StatesI’ve had gray in my hair since I was a teenage. At 43 I stopped dying my hair a couple years ago as I was destroying my hair! As someone who cares about what I put in and on my body, I refused to use harsh chemicals in my hair again. After using natural shampoos and oiling my hair with organic oils the brown color starting to come back in. I wanted complete coverage however. I typed in ‘natural hair dyes’ and Khadi was the first site that popped up and I said that’s the one! I’ve seen other henna products before, but they are waaay too complicated. At first I was nervous to use this color myself, but alas I did and the color came out great. I probably watered it down too much trying to get the temp right, but I’ll know better next time! Super easy to use, looks natural, my hair feels healthy, and I have been getting lots of compliments as well. Great product! Perfect for someone who lives a healthy, organic, green lifestyle! United StatesBeen using this color since Jan 2023 and it’s been a great alternative to chemical dye. I don’t get 100% grey coverage but I’m getting compliments that my hair looks like it has highlights in it. I feel good not using chemical dyes now.
