Your starting hair color will influence the final result. To avoid going darker, choose a shade that is at least 2 tones lighter than your natural color. If you select a shade that matches your current color, the pigmented hair may darken, while the gray hair will take on a lighter reflection of the shade.
To prevent darkening from color buildup, we recommend doing a full-color application only 4 times a year and focusing on root touch-ups in between. This helps maintain your desired shade without adding extra depth.
